Job summary

Labcorp in Concord, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and enter patient data accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred 6 months of experience. You will provide excellent customer service and travel to additional sites as needed.

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Concord, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with rotating Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
