  • Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

Job description

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, based in Irondale AL 35210

This is a 13+ weeks role with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Irondale AL 35210

Schedule: M-F 8:00am - 05:00pm

Monday through Friday 8 :30am-5:30pm CST (40hrs/week)

Pay Range: $19.37- $21.35/hr

(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
  • Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
  • Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  • Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Medical training (such as medical assistant or paramedic programs) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting is preferred.
