Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a medical facility in Warner Robins, GA 31088 for a 4+ month assignment. The pay range is $20.86–$22.35 per hour, with a Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm schedule.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, data recording, maintaining patient information, and ensuring proper specimen handling and transport in accordance with procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years phlebotomy experience including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Must follow established procedures for specimen handling and labeling.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
  • Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
  • Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
  • Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility in Warner Robins GA 31088. It's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Warner Robins GA 31088

Duration: 4+ months

Pay rate: $20.86/hour to $22.35/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.

Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.

Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.

Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.

Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.

Package specimens for transport.

Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.

Work Experience:

1-3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred.
