Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support a medical facility in Alabaster, AL 35007. This is a 3-month assignment with potential for contract-to-hire and the opportunity to work with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Location: Alabaster, AL 35007. Pay rate: $19.93–$21.36 per hour. Schedule: Mon-Thu 7:30am–4:30pm, Fri 7:30am–3pm (40 hours). Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension. Training and credential maintenance are required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections including venipunctures and capillary draws.
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in clinical and forensic settings.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality during procedures.
• Verify and label specimens accurately and document patient information.
• Travel to other Patient Service Centers or In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed.

Pay Rate: $19.93 - $21.36 per hour

Schedule: M-Th 7:30am 4:30pm, F 7:30-3pm (40 hours per week)

Duration: 3 months +

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate, safe, and skillful blood collections including venipunctures and capillary draws.
• Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in both clinical and forensic settings.
• Handle pediatric, geriatric, and special patient populations with care and professionalism.
• Accurately verify and label specimens while ensuring compliance with patient identification protocols.
• Maintain updated patient demographics and obtain signatures post-collection.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image of the organization.
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards, including confidentiality and data integrity.
• Maintain clean and stocked work areas and ensure equipment is properly sanitized.
• Provide excellent service and build trust with patients and healthcare providers.
• Travel as needed to other Patient Service Centers or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations with short notice.
• Attend all required training sessions and maintain updated credentials.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
