Job summary

Indiana University Health Foundation in Indianapolis is seeking a data-driven Philanthropy Services Officer – Intermediate to support prospect development, dashboards, and portfolio management. You will translate data into insights to inform fundraisers and leadership, and collaborate closely with the data team on Salesforce optimization.

The role features a hybrid schedule (Mon–Fri) in Indianapolis and requires strong analytical skills, experience in fundraising software, and a service-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Requires working knowledge of fundraising software (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Familiarity with iWave and DonorSearch preferred.
• Requires proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills required; ability to translate data into actionable insights for fundraisers and leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive prospect research using internal sources and external tools to assess giving capacity and inclination.
• Apply scoring and portfolio assignment criteria to balance and optimize fundraiser portfolios based on capacity and inclination alignment.
• Manage and enhance the automated patient feed methodology in Salesforce that flags eligible patients for compliant and appropriate philanthropic outreach.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give leadership and development officers real time visibility into pipeline health and prospect prioritization.
• Produce focused portfolio review materials that support strategic conversation and effective decision making.
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from fundraisers and leadership.
• Collaborate closely with two data team colleagues on ongoing Salesforce optimization and related platform improvements.
• Refine research and reporting workflows, strengthening team standards, and maintaining policies that reflect best practices as new tools and predictive modeling capabilities come online.
• Report monthly metrics to leadership.
