Job summary

Indiana University Health Foundation in Indianapolis is seeking a driven Philanthropy Officer – Intermediate to advance our metro philanthropy efforts. You will manage an active portfolio of donors and prospects, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships, while building a robust donor pipeline in the Indianapolis Metro region.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in fundraising, working knowledge of Raiser's Edge or Salesforce, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant fundraising experience.
• Working knowledge of fundraising software (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of donors and prospects across the Indianapolis Metro region, focusing on qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and pipeline development.
• Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to deepen donor engagement and increase philanthropic support.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and align donor interests with priorities.
• Leverage CRM tools and donor data to prioritize opportunities and support fundraising effectiveness.
• Translate organizational needs into compelling cases for philanthropic support.
• Support integrated fundraising initiatives and contribute to Foundation goals.
• Adapt as the role evolves with new gifts and shifting priorities.
