Job summary

IU Health Foundation is seeking a Philanthropy Officer – Intermediate to join the Indianapolis Metro philanthropy team. The role focuses on Carmel North needs and downtown health district work, with flexibility as priorities evolve.

You will manage donor portfolios, build relationships, and design strategies for cultivation and gift solicitations, aligning donor interests with IU Health priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Requires 3–5 years of fundraising experience.
• Requires knowledge of fundraising software (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active donor portfolio across the Indianapolis Metro region.
• Develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to deepen donor engagement.
• Partner with operational, clinical, and admin stakeholders to identify funding opportunities.
• Leverage CRM data to prioritize opportunities and support fundraising effectiveness.
• Translate organizational needs into compelling cases for support.
• Contribute to organizational fundraising goals across the Foundation.
• Adapt as gift closes and priorities evolve.
