Job summary

CSL in Florida is seeking an entry-level Pheresis Processor Support to assist in preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and work closely with the center team.

Responsibilities include prepping the autopheresis machine, monitoring the donor and process, handling alarms, disconnecting the donor when complete, recording incidents in the PDA, ensuring data accuracy in the donor information system, and adhering to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to any donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff.
• Record incidents with the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization's discretion.
