Job summary

CSL in Tallahassee seeks a Pheresis Processor Assistant to prepare donor and equipment for pheresis, monitor the process, and respond to alarms. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and support the center’s operations.

You will use a PDA to record incidents, maintain donor data, and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety protocols. Some cross-training and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains awareness of donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses PDA to record incidents, link equipment and soft goods to the donor, and record donor data in the electronic system as SOPs require.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues when necessary.
• Maintains confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
