Job summary

CSL is seeking an attentive Pheresis Technician in Milwaukee to support the pheresis process, ensuring donor safety and accuracy in data recording. You will prepare donor areas and equipment, monitor the procedure, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when finished.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents with a PDA, linking equipment to donors, and maintaining confidentiality while following HSE/OSHA guidelines. Cross-training and bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using a PDA, including machine alerts and donor-related events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Inform Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Comply with HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety in all actions.
• Maintain donor confidentiality.
