Job summary

CSL Plasma in Weslaco, TX is seeking personnel to support donor pheresis procedures. The role requires preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment, and ensuring the autopheresis machine is ready for use.

You will monitor donors during the procedure and respond to alarms, and disconnect donors when complete. You will also maintain accurate donor data, document incidents in the PDA, and link equipment to donors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment usage in the PDA and link to donor records.
