Job summary

CSL Plasma in McAllen, TX is seeking a donor center technician to prepare the donor, area and equipment for the pheresis process and monitor the donor throughout. You will handle the autopheresis machine, document incidents, and maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with SOPs and HSE/OSHA policies.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 months of work experience, preferably in a medical setting, plus basic math skills. Bilingual abilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness for donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs require.
