Job summary

CSL Plasma in York, PA is seeking an entry-level Pheresis Support role. Responsibilities include preparing the donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis, and ensuring smooth operation of the autopheresis machine.

You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, document incidents with the PDA, and maintain accurate donor data while following HSE and OSHA policies. Cross-training opportunities may exist depending on center needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during pheresis using the PDA, including alarms and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
