Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents in the PDA and link equipment to donor records.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording in the electronic management system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and adequate supplies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
