CSL Plasma is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform pheresis procedures and donor care at our Texas centre. Responsibilities include donor setup, monitoring, venipuncture, and maintaining accurate donor records.

You will ensure safety, quality, and a positive donor experience, with opportunities to educate donors on plasma products and center policies. The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of phlebotomy experience for external candidates, and CSL DST training for internal applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience; 12 months health care experience.
• Internal CSL applicants: must have completed CSL Plasma DST training.

Responsabilités

• Perform pheresis procedures per SOPs, including donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect.
• Venipuncture to start pheresis following FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate vein performance and adjust to expedite donation and ensure safety.
• Educate new donors on plasma products, screening, fees, center policies, and nutrition.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist or notify staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and donor information system.
• Complete calibrations and maintenance checks per SOPs; resolve alarms.
• Troubleshoot equipment, document incidents, and replace faulty equipment.
• Maintain donor flow and report issues to supervisor.
• Cross-train in other areas; may require bilingual skills.
