Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare autopheresis machines and monitor donor flow, ensuring safety and data integrity throughout the procedure. You will respond to alarms, disconnect donors after the process, and maintain accurate donor information in the electronic system.

This role requires minimal but relevant experience, basic math, and the ability to follow SOPs, observe equipment operation, and work in a fast-paced environment with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment
• Will perform basic math calculations
• Understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Overtime and extended hours may be required

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to specific alarms or signals during the process
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete
• Maintain alertness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and donor events
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system
• Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs
• Bilingual skills may be required
• Perform job-related duties as assigned
