Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor center technician responsible for preparing the autopheresis machine and donor area for pheresis procedures. You will monitor the process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete, ensuring donor safety and data accuracy.

The role requires basic math, attention to safety, and potential cross-training in other areas. A PDA is used to document incidents and connect equipment to donors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Will perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents, alarms, volume variances and donor adverse events.
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure sufficient supplies; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization.
