Job summary

CSL Vifor in Warner Robins, GA seeks a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will monitor the process, respond to alarms, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will document incidents with the PDA, maintain donor data, and collaborate with staff to resolve flow issues while maintaining confidentiality and a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 months of work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Use the PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process (machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, donor adverse events).
• Use the PDA to link equipment and consumables to the appropriate donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures for hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
