Job summary

CSL is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures in our Georgia center. You will prepare donors, areas, and equipment, and ensure the autopheresis machine is set up correctly for each session.

You will monitor donors during the procedure, respond to alarms, and document incidents and donor data using a PDA, while maintaining safety, confidentiality, and a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms/signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Stay alert for donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff.
• Record incidents using a PDA (machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, adverse events).
• Link equipment and supplies to the correct donor using PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs at the center, if applicable.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
