Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor procedures and ensure safe, accurate processing. The role involves preparing donor areas and equipment, monitoring the pheresis process, and maintaining thorough documentation in the donor information system.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of related experience, with basic math skills for calculations and data entry tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor after the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the PDA and link equipment to donor records.
• Alert supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Adhere to SOPs and HIPAA-like confidentiality policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
