Job summary

CSL Plasma in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Donor Center Technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis and to ready the autopheresis machine for the procedure.

You will monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms, document incidents in the PDA, ensure accurate donor data in the information system, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with HSE/OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical or health-provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness for donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using the PDA, including alarms and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data is recorded in the donor information management system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and maintain safety in all actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas to meet business needs.
