Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a role responsible for preparing the donor pheresis setup and monitoring the procedure to ensure safety and accuracy. You will respond to alarms, disconnect the donor when finished, and document events using a PDA according to SOPs.

The position requires basic math, attention to detail, and a background in a medical setting. Candidates should be able to maintain safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math calculations required.
• Prefer experience in medical settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using PDA during pheresis (alarms, variances, events).
• Use PDA to link equipment and supplies to the donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor info system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyperimmune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel/donor information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
