Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor pheresis support role to prepare the donor and area, ensuring equipment readiness for the pheresis procedure. You will monitor the donor and respond to alarms, disconnecting them when complete, while maintaining safety and data integrity.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 3 months in a medical setting, and basic math skills, with confidentiality and adherence to SOPs emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff.
• Use a PDA to record incidents, machine alerts, alarms and donor data.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow SOPs and health safety policies; maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at organization’s discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
