Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor processing technician to prepare pheresis equipment and monitor donors during procedures. You will record incidents using a PDA, ensure accurate donor data entry, and maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with HSE/OSHA policies.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, disconnecting donors after procedures, and coordinating with staff to maintain continuous donor flow and data integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and pheresis process and responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness and reports any donor reactions to staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents, machine alerts, volume variances, and donor adverse events.
• Links equipment and consumables to the appropriate donor in the donor information system.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs require.
• Maintains confidentiality of donor, personnel and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
