Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a pheresis support technician to prepare donors and equipment, monitor the pheresis process, and respond to alarms. The role emphasizes accurate data recording and adherence to SOPs, HSE, and OSHA policies.

The candidate may be cross-trained and bilingual skills may be required based on organizational needs. Responsibilities include ensuring donor safety, maintaining supplies, and documenting events using PDA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization’s discretion.
