Job summary

CSL in Westwego, LA is seeking an entry-level Donor Center Technician to prepare the autopheresis machine, monitor donors and the pheresis process, and disconnect donors when complete.

You will follow SOPs, record incidents on the PDA, ensure accurate donor data entry, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while adhering to HSE/OSHA policies. A high school diploma and at least 3 months of medical/health experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to any donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents, link equipment to donors, and document events in the donor information system.
• Follow SOPs and maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and comply with HSE and OSHA policies.
