Job summary

CSL is seeking a Donor Center Technician to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete.

You will document incidents using the PDA and ensure accurate data entry in the donor information system. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three months of medical-related work experience, with basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reaction during or after the pheresis process and notify staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and electronic donor information management system.
• Link equipment and supplies used to the appropriate donor in the PDA and SOPs.
• Ensure clean, safe work environment and availability of operating supplies; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
