Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor center support professional to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for pheresis and to monitor the donor and machine throughout the process. You will record incidents, manage donor data, and ensure safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Candidates may be cross-trained and bilingual skills could be required depending on center needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents during the pheresis process using a PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the records.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies/procedures related to hyperimmune programs.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
