Job summary

CSL Plasma in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Donor Center Technician to perform donor pheresis procedures, prepare the donor area, and ensure equipment readiness for each collection, while maintaining accurate donor records and compliance with SOPs.

You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, document incidents in the PDA, and follow SOPs, HSE, and OSHA policies. A high school diploma is required with at least 3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 months' work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using the PDA and link equipment to the donor in the system.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety in all actions.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
