Job summary

CSL Plasma in Tallahassee, FL seeks a Donor Center Technician to prepare donors, equipment, and work area for pheresis procedures. You will monitor donors and processes, respond to alarms, and log incidents using the PDA.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 months of experience in healthcare or related settings; basic math skills are essential. Cross-training and bilingual abilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff.
• Record incidents in the PDA during pheresis, including alarms and events.
• Link equipment and supplies used to the donor in the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and stock supplies; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
