Job summary

CSL Vifor in Kent, WA is seeking a Donor Pheresis Technician to prepare autopheresis equipment and monitor donors during pheresis procedures. You will respond to alarms, disconnect donors when complete, and document events in the PDA and donor information system.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three months of related experience, basic math skills, and willingness to work overtime. Bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during pheresis (machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, donor adverse events).
• Use PDA to link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment; ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion.
