Job summary

CSL in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Pheresis Processor to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor when finished.

You will use a PDA to record incidents, link equipment to donors, and maintain accurate donor data in the information system. Overtime and safety training are required, with a focus on safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 months of work experience in a medical/health setting is preferred.
• Basic math calculations proficiency is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and machine data using the PDA; link equipment to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data is recorded in the electronic donor information management system.
