Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing, insurance billing, and dispensing. You will interact with customers, prepare prescriptions, and help maintain accurate patient records on a fast-paced retail pharmacy team.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellent service. Vaccination duties may be included where legally allowed, with required certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward licensed technician certification through a national program.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, insurance billing, and dispensing support.
• Maintain patient information and HIPAA confidentiality; prepare and label prescriptions.
• Support inventory management and stock pharmacy supplies; handle insurance claims and third‑party billing.
• Assist with vaccinations where legally permitted and required.
