Hy-Vee is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Non-Certified to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions and billing while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

You will collect patient information, handle prescription processing and insurance interactions, and learn to assist in vaccine administration where legally allowed. High school diploma required; certification progress encouraged.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required, working toward licensed technician certification.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Handle inquiries not requiring a pharmacist's expertise and judgment.
• Accept new written prescription orders and telephoned refill requests under supervision.
• Contact doctors to request refills as needed.
• Gather and maintain accurate patient information for prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription products for dispensing.
• Prepare and affix labels and prepare prescriptions for mailing.
• Submit insurance claims and assist with third‑party billing.
