Hy-Vee is seeking a non-certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in prescription processing, insurance billing, and inventory management in a fast-paced retail setting. You will learn toward national certification while gaining hands-on experience under supervision.

This daytime-only role emphasizes accuracy, patient confidentiality, and teamwork. Candidates should be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to helping people in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward licensed technician certification through a national program required.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Accept new prescription orders and telephoned refills under supervision.
• Contact doctors for refills as needed and gather patient information.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare labels and prepare prescriptions to be mailed or mailed.
