The University of Iowa Health Care – North Liberty Pharmacy is seeking a 100% Pharmacy Technician Trainee. Under supervision, you will support outpatient and clinic dispensing, maintain inventory, and ensure medication security across care areas.

Qualifications include Iowa Pharmacy Board registration, either trainee or certified status, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Training will cover aseptic techniques, labeling, and use of automated dispensing equipment.

Qualifikationen

• Registered with the Pharmacy Board at time of hire.
• Technician must be certified within one year, unless trainee registration extended by Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Aufgaben

• Perform inventory maintenance in satellites and dispensing areas.
• Review inventory for expired medications.
• Maintain inventory levels according to par levels.
• Prepare labels, dispense medications, and document activities.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and retrieve unused medications.
• Ensure medication security in care units and proper storage of controlled substances.
• Operate AcuDose Medstations, MedCarousel, and other dispensing equipment.
