Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist PRN for our Rocky Hill, CT facility. This ad-hoc role covers high-demand periods and paid leave for our long-term care pharmacy services.

Hours are PRN, typically Monday to Friday 8AM–5PM EST, onsite. We value teamwork, compliance with all laws, and a positive, patient-centered approach in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess CT State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• Order Entry experience is required.
• Minimal typing speed of 40 WPM preferred.
• Medical Records experience preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.
• Positive personality who can work well within a team.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages workflow processes including pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluates their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the DEA, and the FDA.
• Performs duties with a friendly, positive, team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
