Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, a long-term care provider, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician – Production in Carroll, OH. You will label and dispense prescriptions and may prepare unit dose packaging for delivery, with duties expanding to organizing final prescriptions for delivery.

Qualifications

• Active OH State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform pharmacy calculations.
• Able to interpret prescriptions using basic pharmacy language.
• Capable of completing projects promptly with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• Prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) as directed.
• Attach labels to pre-packed blister cards when required.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
• When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Must possess an active OH State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred NOT required.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Ability to complete projects promptly.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
