Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy in Carroll, OH is hiring a Pharmacy Technician - Production. You will label, dispense, and package prescriptions for delivery in a production setting, using hand methods or packaging machines.

The role requires an active OH State Board of Pharmacy Technician license and at least 1 year of production-based experience, plus the ability to perform pharmacy calculations and interpret prescriptions.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio State Board of Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience in a production setting.
• Ability to perform pharmacy calculations and interpret prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• Prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) by hand or using packaging machines.
• Pull pre-packed blister cards and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.
• Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.
• When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.
• When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.
• Sort and organize completed prescriptions.
• Perform quality assurance checks as directed.
• Prepare orders for delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Must possess an active OH State Board of Pharmacy Technician License.
• Must have 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience in a production based setting.
• Can perform pharmacy calculations.
• Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions.
• Ability to complete projects promptly.
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times and traverse close quarters quickly.
• Must be able to stand on feet for the duration of an eight (8) hour shift.
