Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per Company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support pharmacy operations. Assist and coach other pharmacy technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions.
• Share customer service best practices to ensure a positive experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Enter patient and drug info, fill prescriptions, verify accuracy, and assist in workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims.
• Support inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensure supplies are stocked, and uphold cleanliness and order.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through training and/or state registration.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
