Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting with other Pharmacy Department duties following company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Greeting customers and patients, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices to deliver excellent service, including interpersonal skills and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, including entering patient and drug data, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and managing workflow.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies related to pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
• Handling sales transactions, customer interactions, and supporting inventory management activities.
• Supporting clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment and supporting asset protection.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, and pursuing certification as a condition for promotion.
• Participating in training and continuing education to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
