Minimum Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations, including coaching other pharmacy technicians if PTCB certified.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver exceptional service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practices under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle cash register operations, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state requirements. Certification is required for promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
