Job Description: Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist in coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers as appropriate.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging and assisting customers and developing strong relationships with valuable clients.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions, under pharmacist supervision.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle cash register operations, process third-party claims, and support inventory management activities.
• Support clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers, as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and foster respectful relationships with coworkers.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with promotion contingent on certification attainment.
• Participate in training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
