Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, and assisting in other Pharmacy Department duties as per company policies and procedures.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assisting and coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding dispensing activities.
• Handling sales transactions, customer assistance, and supporting inventory management.
• Supporting clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintaining the pharmacy environment, supplies, and cleanliness.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification and attending training and continuing education to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico), willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
