Responsibilities include:

1. Assist the pharmacist, under supervision, in pharmacy practice in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by engaging customers, resolving issues, and building relationships.

Customer Experience

• Greet customers and offer assistance, ensuring a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy tasks under supervision, including entering information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and managing workflow.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
• Handle sales transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, checking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensuring cleanliness and supplies are adequate.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with promotion dependent on certification.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico), and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
