Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in pharmacy practice in accordance with state and federal regulations, and supporting other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system and register operation.
3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engaging customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Sharing customer service best practices with team members to enhance service quality, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assisting in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Performing duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow management.
• Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to error and quality improvement policies.
• Handling sales registration, cash handling, and assisting customers in locating products.
• Processing third-party prescription claims and supporting inventory management activities.
• Supporting clinical services and maintaining good relationships with healthcare providers and the community.
• Maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment and respecting coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintaining PTCB certification through designated training and/or state certification; earning certification as a condition for promotion.
• Attending training and acquiring continuing education to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico), willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
