Minimum Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in their respective operations.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform duties such as entering patient information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error management policies.
• Handle sales transactions and assist customers in locating products.
• Process claims for third-party prescription services and support inventory management activities.
• Support clinical services and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and uphold company policies and respectful relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions and acquire continuing education credits to stay current with healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
