Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations, and in performing other pharmacy duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in pharmacy system operation.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices to deliver excellent service, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, following all policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and supporting workflow management.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality and safety policies.
• Handle sales transactions accurately, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management and clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment and foster respectful coworker relationships.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through our training program and/or state certification requirements.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
