Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Assist in other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle cash register transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management, clinical services, and external healthcare provider relationships.
• Maintain the pharmacy environment, ensure supplies are stocked, and uphold company policies.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through designated training and/or state certification. Certification may be a condition for promotion.
• Attend training and acquire continuing education credits to stay updated in healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico), willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
