Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in pharmacy practice and other Pharmacy Department duties following company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, assist and coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system and register operations.
3. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle cash register transactions, assist customers in locating products, and process third-party claims efficiently.
• Support inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handle related claims and documentation.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
• Build relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing efforts.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy environment.
• Follow all company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification, with promotion contingent upon certification where applicable.
• Attend training sessions, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
